FG70 is an innovative and intelligent fingerprint verification system. It evolves on the base of user experiences and proven product concepts under the examination of the most demanding customers, who also used FG70's predecessors over a ten-year timeframe.
FG70 can operate alone or with other FG70. With TCP/IP, FG70 can be easily connected to other FG70 units. anywhere and anytime. FG70 learns from every successful matching and adjusts the fingerprint formats to its most easily recognized state, and this was achieved possibly since Startek owns and develops the biometrics matching and verification algorithm. There are four major management software components with FG70: registration and fingerprint enrollment, profile and schedule settings, time and attendance records, and performance assessments. These form the basic to support functions for customers' advantages, either to enhance the efficiency with human resources management or to deliver higher security demanded by an enterprise or a government entity.
As the user requirement evolves to focus on the convergence of physical and logical access control, FG70's inherent architecture and functions will prove to be best positioned to serve today and future's market for access control and attendance management.
First of all, we recommend you to distinguish the difference of true high performance against spec. performance- many customers concluded a buy FG70 decision after field-testing and benchmarking just 2-3 sets of FG70 comparing with peer products under a networked (TCP/IP) environment with just over 1,000 templates installed in the system. In that environment, 1:N matching takes over 3 times of the spec. figure to complete for competitors but FG70 does it in less than 1 second, consistently. In most real-life occasions, FG70 have to reliably send check-in/out messages in real-time to back-end applications. The single largest site to deploy FG70 up to today has over 1,000 systems all networked by TCP/IP.

- Higher systems availability and low end-user maintenence - FG70's field failure rate has been considerably low. Some competitors design their products as commodity and customers have to suffer frequent operational halts during the field repairs. Another attribute of a higher failure rate with competitors' products is lens coatings, which require a periodic replacement. FG70 overcomes this issue long ago.
- Higher security level achieved - Real-time record updates and centralized architecture with FG70 make possible for customers the convergence of logic and physical identification. For customers pursuing mission-critical security, FG70 supports an integration-ready platform.

- User friendly interaction - Example 1: An operation, succesful or unsuccessful, will be notified by a voice instead of a beep; therefore, users won't be confused. Example 2: New registers will be better guided by the instant display of users' own fingerprint images.
- Low image distortion - The trapezoid distortion on the top with competitors ranges in between 5 to 15%; the tyical with FG70 is less than 1%.
